Mascots have it rough

Have you ever thought about the hard work college mascots do during basketball games? Sweating up a storm just for the student's entertainment, just to give their team that extra boost of energy. And with that sweat comes a funk you wouldn't believe.

Consider the Hawk, mascot at Saint Joseph's in Philadelphia: As he roams the arena floor, tradition dictates that he also flap his wings during games. Constantly.

The further his team advances, the more the Hawk starts to stink like he's been at the gym for days with no shower.

Tim Klarich, the current Hawk called it "the next best thing to playing."

So we say give it up for the mascots of Division 1 hoops. Make a toast and appreciate all that they do.

For they are still idiots.
