Looks like Washington State point guard Reggie Moore is doing his best Afroman impression in the great Northwest:
Moore was arrested and cited for possession of marijuana less than 40 grams and use of drug paraphernalia. The charges each carry mandatory minimums of one day in jail and a fine that usually ranges between $250 and $500. Despite the pending charges, Moore will continue to play for the Cougars with coach Ken Bone's blessings.

In April, Floyd spurned an offer from Arizona to fill its coaching vacancy, saying he was staying at USC. A year ago, Floyd was offered the coaching job at his alma mater Louisiana State and turned it down, saying at the time, "This is my last job at SC."
The day he met reporters to say he had rejected Arizona, Floyd said, "This is still my last job."
While Floyd did not directly say he quit because of the Mayo scandal, we believe he did. But that is not the point. We raised those quotes because he seemed serious that he will never coach again after USC. He will be made out to be a liar.
And why would we think that? Hmmm.....

Robert Morris had a date with the Northeast Conference championship game. One of their best players seemed to have gotten into a little trouble with the law a few days before. But a chance at the NCAA Tournament was at stake.
So let him play anyway!
Despite being charged with assault over the weekend, a Robert Morris University basketball player will play in the Northeast Conference championship game.
Mezie Nwigwe, a junior guard for the RMU basketball team, was charged with assault after an incident on Pittsburgh's South Side Saturday morning.
Police said Nwigwe got into a fight with two men and a woman, punching one of the three in the face. The incident happened at a Crossroads convenience store on 18th and Sarah streets around 3:30 a.m.
The university said that Nwigwe "is a student in good standing at Robert Morris University who has no record of student misconduct. Like any other person, he is innocent until proven otherwise and has the right to tell his side of the story in a court of law."
Hey, that's convenient. We wonder would that have been the case if this happened at the start of the season.

Nothing really ticks us off more than a coach just leaving his kids in the middle of a campaign. It doesn't freakin' matter if it was a losing campaign, we were always taught to finish what we started. He has basically told his players if the going gets rough, just walk and sip some blueberry almond martinis on the beach somewhere.
So good luck Crimson Tide. Try to get some motivation to finish respectably out of that.
Greeley girls basketball team beats Boulder school 94-1
Frontier Academy, a charter school in west Greeley, led 48-0 at halftime against Boulder's Justice High School, which is designed to educate at-risk youth.
"I've had 100 points scored on me before, and I think it's important to respect the game and to respect your opponent," Frontier Academy head coach Nathan Buxman said this morning in a phone interview. "We show the most respect for our opponents by continuing to play hard."
Well, if that is the case coach Buxman, why didn't make it 200-1?
Buxman said his team never used any kind of a pressure defense and stayed in a man-to-man, half court defense. He rotated five girls into the game every four minutes once the score became lopsided.
But wait, you just said that you want to respect your opponent by playing hard. Now you are saying you let up because of the score?

Ole Miss coach Andy Kennedy has been arrested this morning for punching the lights out of a Muslim cabbie.
JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — A Cincinnati newspaper says police and court records show Mississippi basketball coach Andy Kennedy was arrested early Thursday on an assault charge involving a taxi driver.
Why do we bring up the cab driver's religion? Because Kennedy was saying some pretty racist things too.
(Kennedy is) accused of attacking Mohammed Ould Jiddou and hurling racial slurs at the man, according to police and court records.
Did we mention he had more than likely been drinking too? Oh yes, citizen.
Also arrested was William Armstrong, the director of operations at Mississippi, on a charge of disorderly conduct, reports show.
Reports state Armstrong, 31, was drunk and thrown out of the Lodge Bar downtown early this morning.
After that, he and Kennedy got a cab. A report says Armstrong, taunted the driver "in which his conduct was likely to cause a violent response."
All this leads to the question "Who is going to coach the Rebels tonight?!"
The ninth-ranked Louisville Cardinal and the Ole Miss Rebels will meet this evening in Cincinnati as part of the SEC/Big East Invitational.

Western Kentucky's assistant coach David Boyden was arrested for doing very bad things over the weekend...
According to a Bowling Green Police Department report, Boyden was pulled over at 3:53 a.m. today while being clocked at 73 mph in a 45 mph zone on Russellville Road. After initially refusing to take a sobriety test, Boyden’s blood-alcohol level as tested by Breathalyzer was 0.115. The legal limit for drivers in Kentucky is 0.08.
Along with being charged with DUI, Boyden was also cited for speeding, failure to produce an insurance card and possession of an open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle.
Wow! Give that man a cigar! Big Red would be proud.
