ESPN Releases College Basketball Schedule

Oh yes, we are getting closer and closer to the start of college hoops, citizens. Behold the power of the 2011-2012 TV schedule!

The one thing we immediately zoomed in on was this...

Baylor is returning some strong ballers (Scott Drew, Quincy Miller). And don't forget Perry Jones who easily compares to Kawhi Leonard. This will be a "show me" game for all the doubters who think the Aztecs will fall off this season.

We're one of them.

So in 30 days it'll be time to buckle up. Also, that is when we will start posting on a more regular basis. But in the meantime, who else is excited about the Alabama/LSU football game on November 5th?

Nightmare

ESPN's worst case scenario for San Diego State -

"Feeling the weight of unprecedented expectations, Aztecs bomb in their opener and are stunned by 15th-seeded Northern Colorado. San Diego State remains winless in the NCAA tournament. Leonard goes pro and five seniors depart. Fisher decides he'd rather not rebuild at this stage of his career and retires. San Diego residents go back to the beach and resume total apathy regarding college basketball. BYU advances to the Final Four."

*cold sweat* Some of this is actually not a dream. Kawhi Leonard is as good as gone and our seniors do graduate. Would Fisher really stick around another 3 disappointing years to rebuild? BYU does have the talent to get to the Final Four.

Ok, we're gonna try to go back to sleep now.

ESPN producers are so excited they interrupt their own broadcast during the UTSA/McNeese State game ...



So the Tigers are dancing. And Harvard is sullen again. Game talk heyah.

San Diego State on the front page of ESPN? This still weirds us out (and also makes us proud). If you would had told us this a mere 5 months ago we would have said "Quit smoking that rock!"

We deservedly don't get any respect yet where it matters most (coaching salaries, private flights and practice facilities). But if we can make a semi-deep run in the tournament that would change. Coach Fisher should demand it.
