Valparaiso's Logan Jones, after being freshly reinstated because of underage drinking and dope smoking reminisces about what happened after his arrest and suspension:

He thought about Dec. 13, the night he spent in jail, busted for underage drinking, a cloud of marijuana smoke having spilled out from the passenger-side window of the car Jones was driving.

"I thought it was over," Jones says. "I definitely thought it was over. I had my AAU coach start looking for other schools, junior colleges that I could get into. I thought it was over."

He thought about all the brutal and unforgiving message-board comments from supposed "fans" his dad had made Jones read online -- "good riddance" was the general theme. (emphasis ours)

Get that? Dad made him read about what he did and what people thought. Most craptacular dads would have said "oh well!," and hope there was still some NBA eligibility left with their sons to pay for their bills. But not Daddy Jones, no sir. A hip hip hooray to you. Your son will be better for this.

Now, for Indiana we just had to say "what in blue blazes is wrong with that school?" After former teammate Eric Gordon spilled the beans about the rampant drug use during coach Sampson's tenure, now the University president's kid has joined the party:

The 18-year-old son of Indiana University president Michael McRobbie was arrested on misdemeanor drug charges.

Lucian McRobbie was arrested early Sunday on two preliminary charges of possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

Nice. Bring Bob Knight back and make HIM president of the school. And what's up with the name Lucian?
