Thanks for the memories

As we sit here waiting for the end game that is Florida vs. Oklahoma in the BCS title match, we are kind of giddy. Not about watching what should be a very interesting football contest, but the fact that come tomorrow, January 9th, 2008 in the year of our Lord, college basketball officially takes over and dominates the sporting world until April 8th. We're getting misty-eyed just thinking about it.

Some quick thoughts -

* The University of North Carolina Tar Heels will NOT win the NCAA Tournament. Believe that. Who will? Dunno...

* We're re-installing our "Duke will choke by the Sweet 16" comment. Again.

* Davidson's Stephen Curry will NOT go pro after this year.

* Illinois and Cal are not screwing around. Expect them to go deep come conference and tournament time.

* And who would have thought the the Illini would look as good as they did when they had Dee Brown?

* This is our year; someone from the MWC will make a deep run in the Tourney.

So get in, buckle up and hold on tight citizen. The ride has begun. And some of us are already neck deep in it.
