Title Redacted

George Mason vs. Kansas State looks to be the game of the week.

Both undefeated with GMU looking pretty damn good. And hey, if George Mason sinks up the joint, it IS the Old Spice Classic...

Maybe Bruce can bring the Patriots a chainsaw.

Sometimes Luke Winn can be a little off. He lists the hottest rivalries ...

Illinois/Indiana? Check. Memphis/Tennessee? Yeah. Louisville/Marquette? Ok. Texas/Texas A&M? Sure. Florida/Kentucky? Of course! UCLA/USC? Naturally.

Georgetown/Syracuse???? I understand back when Public Enemy were gods of the rap world this was a big game. But Syracuse is no match for Georgetown now. Melo is gone gone gone. Just my opinion....

John Thompson Jr. may have to call 911 after that game.

You realize Syracuse beat Georgetown last year as an underdog, and will be an underdog this year. They have a 2003 like squad featuring great freshmen but solid returning players.

Granted but I was bringing up two points -

1) Luke Winn's article pointed out that this was a "heated" rivalry. Florida/Kentucky or Texas/Texas A&M are heated. This comes no where close.

2) This year I still think, even taking your points, that Georgetown this year has too strong (and experienced) of a post presence for Syracuse. I simply think they will be crushed.

But I could be wrong. Not the first time.

Roy Hibbert has never been a presence against Syracuse in the three years he's been there. If the 2-3 zone comes through, they will take Hibbert out of the game again, and should stand a legitimate chance to win.

exactly right... Hibbert is barely an offensive threat as is, and the 2-3 zone owns him.

Trust me, 'Cuse-G'town matters to a lot of people. It was surpassed by 'Cuse-UConn for a long time, but now that G'town is relevant again, there's room for another big nasty rivalry.
