So everyone has been giving Missouri guard Kim English kudos for how calm and poised he was when he saw graffiti on campus calling Black History Month "Nigger Month".
We want to take a different view that maybe people are deep down inside thanking him for being the placated house Negro instead of the uppity field Negro, who would have taken a gun and shot every single White person in sight.
Before you citizens get your panties in a bunch just remember that we are a bunch of rainbow coalition contrarian bastards. We never tow the line here. Unless the line makes irrefutable sense.
Cheers...

Just browsing around
Seen around the internets...
From our brethren over at Ballin' is a Habit:
No offense to the gang over at Ballin' (hey, we use to be involved in the short lived college basketball blogpoll together), but guys quit smoking that rock! For the very reasons that you explained Jimmer, Jackson and the vicious beat down UNLV received from the Cougars in Vegas is the same reasons why this game will be even worse. We're telling you, UNLV is going to run into a buzz saw in Provo. And of course we're gonna watch.
Luke Winn's SI Power Rankings:
Shit, who you telling Negro?! We've been screaming this fact again and again and again. It was the death of us in Provo and has caused near death experiences against Colorado State and IUPUI. Sigh. At least someone else noticed. We need a drink.

Culture Clash
Although other blogs may be more tasteful in talking about the upcoming Cornell / Kentucky game we are not afraid to stoop to the lowest common denominator.
This game will feature lumbering slow White people destined to be doctors/lawyers/accountants versus fast agile Black people destined for the NBA! And you know what that means...
Kentucky FTW!
March to Madness. Not afraid to start flame wars and idiotic controversies since 2007.

A Great White Hope?
So the Notre Dame faithful are once again wondering why the hell are they always out in the cold when the NCAA Tournament comes around? Some thoughtful editors at BlueandGold have a possible answer to this query. And believe it or not it's not coach Mike Brey's fault.
It's those damn Black kids fault!
Yes, ever since Michigan's Fab Five in 1991 college hoops has gotten darker and darker. And this has directly hurt the Fighting Irish because... well because people of African descent haven't been particularly flocking to that school.
See, Notre Dame doesn't have the street cred of say a Georgetown. Or a Duke. Bottom line is that the Irish are just too freaking White.
And according to the article they don't even bring up academics. As if that has anything to do with it.

Tar Heels: Best school in the nation
Listen to the man, North Carolina. The pollsters will...
Best line: "Y'all got the Rodney King beat out of you!"
So wear your baby blue paper bags over your heads UNC fans. You've earned it!

Not trying to kick up dust...
When we started the college basketball blogpoll around these parts it was for two reasons; 1) there should be a basketball blogpoll and, 2) we wanted to pay homage to the college football blogoll which we were very found of. So, our official view is that it will happen again this year. Unofficially, we are waiting just like you:
Some peeps have asked "why don't you just start it up again?" With our new job that moved us across the country (in the middle of a recession, mind you) we don't really have the time.
Yoda would say patience... We have lots. Tranquilo.

Billy Donovan is basically a temp
Mr. Donovan, he of the back to back NCAA Basketball Championship doesn't have a contact right now. He made out with the Orlando Magic but chickened out before he put the condom on and ran back to his wife, Ms. Florida Gator. Flo took him back and even offered him a rich, iron clad contract to make him stay faithful. But Billy Boy has not signed it.
We think he is still looking to consummate his infidelity with Orlando or some other skank from the NBA.
Prove us wrong, Billy. Sign the damn thing and respect your players and recent recruits.
In other non-basketball related news (how we love the off-season), all you idiot veterans of foreign wars don't know what war is like. Really, you don't. Only John McCain and his immediate family truly knows what war is like. So fuck off. Love, Meghan.

Say anything for page views
I don't understand it. Seriously, why are these black athletes unable to stay out of trouble.
So goes the first sentence in this article written by Mr. Jeffrey Klein for the Bleacher Report. He then goes on to say...
Yup, these people can't just play their sport, they have to get in trouble with the law, beating people up with guns, using drugs, and whatnot. These athletes deserve to be punish and all deserve to be banned from the league. These athletes bring it upon themselves and create this issue where it is not going to stop and black athletes are going to continue getting arrested and in trouble with the league.
They are just that stupid, and they continue to bring it on themselves.
Now, we agree that if an athlete breaks the law, he should be punished. No argument there, Mr. Klein.
But what we have a problem with is your use of "these people" and "these black athletes".
The best part is that Mr. Klein wraps up his little missive with this...
And don't call me racist either, I'll be voting for Obama in the election, and I have black friends...
Are you voting for Obama out of guilt for how you feel about Blacks? Now there is a Black man I can relate to, I'm not racist!
Here is our point. We could go on and on about how white athlete after white athlete after white athlete after white athlete after white athlete after white athlete are nothing but thugs who break the law too.
But we won't. We're above that tit-for-tat nonsense. But maybe Mr. Klein might want to rethink his ill-informed argument.

What a whore...
Have you ever wondered "What are the presidential candidates picking for the NCAA Tournament?"
"Who does Hillary Clinton have winning that Notre Dame/George Mason game?"
"Wonder what teams Barack Obama has going to the Elite 8 round?"
"What does John McCain's bracket look like?"
Yes. Senator and Republican presidential candidate John Sidney McCain III has a March Madness bracket that he would like to show the world. While he also tries to convince Americans that he is the best candidate for president in the middle of two wars and a recession.
Hell, if his picks are correct, do you think undecided voters will think "Wow, he picked the National Champ! That is exactly the type of quality I look for in the leader of the free world!"
So show your patriotism and sign up for McCain's bracket!
That's right, bitches...
