That's just cold, man
So what we have here is the Mountain West Conference Tourney bracket in beautiful Las Vegas. And yes, you are seeing that correctly. BYU will more than likely have to play New Mexico again. Which means SDSU may have a shot at winning the whole damn thing.
We highly HIGHLY doubt it. But wouldn't that be interesting.

Jackson Emery's a liar
"We believe, looking at our schedule, that we can go undefeated. The kind of confidence that we have in our team is that we can win every game."
- BYU guard Jackson Emery
We're guessing UCLA had some words with Jackson last Saturday. And with UNLV's second helping of lose that leaves SDSU as the lone Mountain West survivor on Ballin' is a Habit's Emery Board. There was a small part of us that was hoping the three teams would go into conference undefeated and have an epic battle royal cage match to the death. C'est la vie.

We're halfway there...
Hit it, Natalie...
(San Diego State has) all five starters returning from a 25-9 squad that reached the NCAA Tournament as well as the addition of a well-regarded group of freshmen and transfers. Already, SDSU has been included in several preseason Top 25 rankings. The university’s media relations department is calling it "the most anticipated season in Aztec basketball history."
- Sign On San Diego
From mainstream pundits like Katz and Vitale to bloggers like Collegehoops, almost everyone has the Aztecs ranked as one of the top 25 teams in the country. Even stalwarts such as the Associated
With their first ever national network prime time TV game on February 26th, 2011 these are heady days for the Aztecs.
We here at M2M have a new lease on life and a new mantra; We will not take failure. Not this time. Fuck you, failure.
We will also have a new addition to the M2M family. That's right, baby M2M. He should be screaming his way from Mrs. M2M's insides around mid December. Just in time for... SDSU vs. Wichita State? Yikes. Sorry kid.

SDSU vs. BYU (end game)
Hey Cougars! You guys are already in the NCAA Tournament whether you win or lose tonight. Why don't you take the night off. Rest your starters for the big dance. Let another team from the MWC have some glory? Don't be selfish, let San Diego State win. I'm sure it's somewhere in the Book of Mormon about helping your neighbor.
We aren't asking to win the whole darn conference tournament. Just a win tonight which would get us AND you into March Madness.
What do you say? Deal?

Comments - Face it. If UNC were any other team they would be in the high teens by now. And finally Tennessee gets the punishment it deserves here as well as elsewhere. A certain blogger of the George Mason variety voted a certain George Mason school #25 (you need to click-y on the "here" link to see). Now that's homerism! No one else had them anywhere.
Hey, San Diego State is off to a great start... Maybe we should put them in... Naw! Temporary insanity there.
