Weekend schedule and Blogpoll stuff

We're gonna be watching the evening games for the most part tonight starting with Florida at Tennessee. Sunday we hope to catch Virginia at former No. 1 Duke among other games.

Oh yeah, we'll watch the Super Bowl too.

Also, the weekly Blogpoll as you know it is going away. But never fear, it will be replaced by the most excellent MGoBlog college basketball Blogpoll. Actually most all the current Blogpoll participants will be moving over there as well. So now we will post our ballot here and a link to the compilation vote. While it was fun running it, we also know Brian at MGo will do a way better job.

Gotta git me out of dis jail tonight

Fresno State guard and team captain Dwight O'Neil is in jail (way to show leadership oh captain my captain!). Seems like he had a little warrant out and his evading came to an end early this morning.

Fresno State basketball player Dwight O'Neil is in Fresno County Jail today after he was arrested late Thursday night on a warrant for driving with a suspended license.

According to jail booking information, he was arrested about 11:15 p.m. by Fresno police. The charge is a misdemeanor; it carries a $1,140 fine.

Poor lad. This coming just days after his uncle died in a fire and he needed to take some time off.

Maybe he should have taken some time off and straightened out that warrant.

The Bulldogs are hoping that he will be released in time for that game against Utah State.

It's Division 1 basketball!

South Alabama was leading Lousiana-Lafayette by 1 with two seconds left. The Ragin' Cajuns took those two seconds and scored 3 points to win the game 67-65. This sent Jaguars coach Ronnie Arrow into a conniption fit.

What follows is a lot of F-bombs and something about wanting to watch TV. Parental discretion is advised.

Well, he was already suspended

We knew Miami's Eddie Rios has some communication issues. He's a man that does what he wants when he wants without informing his coaches about the whats and whens in particular. That got him suspended this month. So with some free time on his hands he decides to broaden his knowledge by taking a course in burglary and grand theft.

On Wednesday, Rios was booked into a Miami-Dade County Jail on charges of burglary of an unoccupied dwelling and third-degree grand theft. By late Wednesday, he was out on bail.

Ocean's Eleven Twelve Thirteen he is not. Also, say goodbye to your free ride and basketball career.

UPDATE: Mr. Rios tried to take several thousands dollars worth of laptops, Xbox game consoles and a credit card among other items (HT: NCAA Basketball FanHouse).

He's unstoppable
